Period 2: Your assignments are given in class. You do not need to work on them for homework.
Periods 1, 4, 5, 6:
Chart 2: Look for Literary Elements, and use your notes to explain the examples you find. Also look for important events in the story for your Significant Quotes (dialogue or narration) chart.
Vocabulary 1: (Due 1/19) For each vocabulary word, you need:
- The word.
- The dictionary definition that matches the usage in the novel.
- The sentence from the book. “Cite text correctly” (17).
- Your own original sentence, using the word correctly and showing its meaning. Using a synonym in the sentence often helps accomplish this.
- An illustration that represents the meaning of the word. Must be colorful, nice, neat, and pretty. This may be drawn, a collage of clipart images, or properly cited images from the web.
You may create your project using: quizlet.com, SmartBoard (pairs, keyword match, word biz), Prezi, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and/or by hand.
