November 12-15

Note: this six weeks ends Wednesday, so turn in any late work by Tuesday! That way I have time to grade it and put it on this report card. I’ll post missing work on the board on Monday, or check the PIV for any Z’s.

This week, we finish up taking notes on the different kids of figurative language.

Once we finish, you will use these to examine a story we’ve already read so that you can locate and interpret the author’s use of figurative language in the story. You will have class time Monday and Tuesday to do this.

The rest of the week is a longer reading assessment than usual so that we can better find out your strengths and weaknesses in analysis of passages of text.
